Rudder fit.

All of the 5/8 X 3/16 spar stock has been cut to length and the ends have been shaped as shown on the plans.  This photo shows
the upper spar reinforcemnents being glued to the upper spars.  Take  care to align the inner ends of these components properly.

This photo shows the outer ends of the outer wing panel lower spars. The slice in the ends is to allow them to conform to the curve of the balsa end spar parts.

Balsa blocks support the lower spar at the proper height.  The blocks are .402 inches high, as shown on the lower right corner of sheet one of the plans.  The five center
ribs are not installed until the center wing sections are joined.  1/16 soft balsa was glued to 3/8 stock to make the blocks, followed by sanding to the proper dimension.

The dihedral jig is used to align the inner end of the spars.  The other end of the spars should rest against a right angle square if the spars are properly dimensioned.
