10/25/09 History of the West Capitol Speedway, May 25, 1947 to May 31, 1980. Members of the West Capital Raceway Alumni Association described the famed West Sacramento Raceway which many race car drivers considered the best dirt track on the West Coast.
6/18/09 Annual June Picnic - YCHS along with Friends of the Yolo County Archives, and Friends of the Gibson Museum.
4/26/09 History and current preservation and conservation activities in Winters with guest speakers Rich Marovich, Howard Hupe, Woody Fridae, and Joann Larkey.
3/22/09 Joint meeting with the West Sacramento Historical Society at the Jazzyblues Café. Washington/Broderick Township history from Hughes-Wingfield, Fausett, and Sornsen (see photos on right), along with visiting the Senator Garage, viewing vintage fire trucks, and a walking tour of the Delta Style Victorian homes on 4th Street led by Martha Mills.

1/27/08 History of Gas Lighting in America - Paul Ivazes of Quality Lighting gave a lecture/slide show/historic examples presentation covering the unwritten history of gas lighting and how gas lighting changed our country and its architecture during the 19th century.  Paul has recreated and restored gaslight fixtures dating from the 1840s to the 1900s.
