YSA July 4 2013 Fun and Prize Shoot

Thursday, July 4 from 09:00 to 13:00 Hours

The competition starts at 9:00am and ends at 12:00pm prizes will be awarded at 1:00 PM

RULES AND CONDUCT

  • 25 yards Pistols only
  • 50 and 100 yards Rifles only
  • Standing only
  • No prone, no leaning, no tripods, no cross sticks, no bags, no bench, no slings
  • Instant DQ for breaking rules
  • Only iron sights front and rear
  • No glass sights, No fiber optics, No lasers, No red dots, No scopes. Sights may not accumulate or enhance ambient light.
  • Peep sights OK
  • 25 yard targets – 2 shots per head
  • 50 Yard targets- 4 shots per head
  • 100 Yard targets- (shooters get 2); 6 shots per head
  • Shooters with more than maximum number of holes in their targets will have 4 points per extra hole deducted from final score. Cross firing onto adjacent targets by neighboring shooters may be considered if provable.
  • NRA scoring (half of hole lapping center of boundary line) will be applied. Less than half lapping center of line, lower point awarded.
  • Decisions by judges are final. No appeal unless a math error.
  • Whiners will be immediately disqualified.

CONTEST FEES

  • $10.00 for 12 shots per target (or per 2 targets for 100 yard range shooters)
  • No additional range fee
  • Fees payable to YSA office
  • All proceeds go to YSA

ADMINISTRATION

  • Shooters must sign login at office window.
  • YSA office will collect money, and will assign shooter #’s and give out targets.
  • Event organizer will collect raffle tickets and distribute lunch tickets.
  • Shooter numbers only on target. No names.
  • Scores are determined by shooter number. Shooter ID anonymous to scorers.
  • Leader board will be maintained during competition. If you are not the leader of your range or aggregate, either purchase a new competition target and re-shoot, or go home. You didn’t win.

PRIZES

  • Prizes (roast beef) awarded to competitors with top scores at each range 25, 50, 100 yards, and one additional prize for best aggregate score. One prize per range plus aggregate.
  • Only one prize available per shooter. Shooter with highest score on any range gets prize. If a shooter scores top on 2 different ranges only 1 prize will be awarded to that shooter, based upon points per shot. Next in line will be awarded on second range.
  • 1 extra roast (maybe 2) awarded by raffle.
  • Raffle at 13:00 hours. Competition Prizes awarded at 14:00 hours. Must be present to win. Consult leader board.

FREE LUNCH

  • Free lunch to those who have pre-registered by 3 July. Lunch served at 12:00 to 13:00 hours.
  • Lunch available to non pre registered competitors 13:00 hours until food runs out.
