The Special Hobby 1/48 Martin 167 Maryland

 
I think the framing on the pilot's canopy is a little heavier than it should be, maybe not.  I think the Maryland has classic looks and it was well liked by those who flew it.  Since they
were not available in large numbers they were used for reconnaisance as well as bombers, and one Mr Warburton made Ace in the Maryland.  For their time they had good
speed and altitude capability, especially those with higher boost superchargers.  They were in competition with the Douglas A-20 which the US bought, so Marylands went to
France and Britain, as well as the Martin 187 Baltimore follow on.  Martin's next bomber was the B-26 Marauder.
