How it might have looked if you walked toward it at San Jacinto, California when it landed there in the morning of July 14, 1937 after a non-stop flight from Moscow.
What I find even more impressive is that the same airplane had made a non-stop flight from Moscow to Vancouver, Washington in mid-June 1937,
went home, and less than a month later did the second record flight. Pretty reliable.
