Lower wing modifications. There is another view later on that also shows the removed armor plate. A square of armor as wide as the fuselage, and from the back of the forward
armor plate to the front edge of the flaps is not on the A-1E. I just scraped it off with a large curved exacto knife, leaving a little access door that is dead center of the removed plate.
The A-1E's bridle hooks were on the main landing gear struts, not the lower wing.
